Bellmont Partners Promotes Megan Anderson to Senior Director

We’re excited to announce that Bellmont Partners team member Megan Anderson has been promoted to Senior Director of Tourism & Hospitality. In this role, Megan will continue to lead the agency’s Tourism & Hospitality practice group, with PR projects ranging from a “who’s who” of Minnesota destinations and events (including the Minnesota Zoo and Minnesota DNR Parks and Trails) to national events such as Taste of the NFL to benefit GENYOUth. Catch her if you can at the upcoming Minnesota State Fair, where Megan and team will be leading media relations and more for seven clients this year.

Senior directors at Bellmont Partners also have a distinct internal focus. Megan’s focus is on People & Culture, building upon the agency’s best-in-class workplace culture that fosters excellence across our team. We recently spoke with Megan about her new focus area:

You’ve been part of the Bellmont Partners team since its earliest days of hiring – about 14 years now! What’s unique about the agency’s culture and how it’s evolved over the years?

From my first day at Bellmont Partners, I saw that the agency put people first. Even before the pandemic, we had a flexible, hybrid work schedule and a strong emphasis on work-life balance. We gathered for celebrations, company outings…and lots of cake. Over the years, the people-first mentality has not changed, but as we’ve evolved and added to our team, with our home offices spread out across the state and varying schedules of 25+ employees, we’ve had to be even more intentional about creating opportunities to gather and cross collaborate. For instance, our new “Coffee Buddies” quarterly series pairs team members together who don’t work together on a day-to-day basis, allowing them the chance to connect and discuss work, life and everything in between. It’s been a big hit!

What are you looking forward to most in this focus on people and culture?

I’m looking forward to building upon an already strong foundation that has been cultivated over the last 30 years. I’m excited to play a more active role in our new employee onboarding processes, refresh our employee recognition program and implement ongoing mentorship opportunities. The people of Bellmont Partners are a smart, hard-working, fun-loving group, and I look forward to continuing to build a rewarding, enjoyable workplace that fosters excellence for both current and future employees.

Oh, and we’ve been talking about doing a company Oscars pool for a while, and I’m excited to implement that with my fellow movie buffs. 😊

How does an internal focus on people and culture ultimately strengthen the work we do externally on behalf of clients?

People who feel appreciated, seen and heard typically do good work. Our culture connects us to each other, our transparency core value builds trust, and we set each other up for success. We often tell our clients that “Partners” is more than just our name and that we are an extension of their team, but “partners” applies to us as well. We listen to each other, problem-solve together and celebrate wins together. Having that strong bench of team members who trust each other and work well together results in success for our clients.

We all know workplace culture is a lot more than foosball tables and happy hours. But just for fun, what are some of your favorite BP traditions or “fun-tivities”?

Our holiday parties over the years have been some of my favorite memories. These parties typically include the annual “Bellie” Awards, a tradition I love. While The Office’s Michael Scott made the Dundies a cringeworthy (yet hilarious) tradition at Dunder Mifflin, our Bellmont “Bellies” highlight some of the best moments over the year, with each team member getting a specific award (with some Office-like humor injected). And while we haven’t been kicked out of a Chili’s, we have laughed a lot and highlighted some awesome work and fun memories, and I look forward to each year’s ceremony.

Please join us in congratulating Megan on her promotion to senior director. We look forward to all that Megan will do in her new role to build upon our team and culture!
