Bellmont Partners Promotes Hope Hansen to Account Executive

After joining Bellmont Partners as an intern while at the University of St. Thomas in May of 2023, and as a full-time employee in July of 2024, we’re excited to announce that Hope Hansen has been promoted to Account Executive. Hope exemplifies Bellmont Partners’ core values – Collaborative, Flexible, Invested, Transparent and Connected – and has grown so much since joining the agency, taking on large roles with clients ranging from a Fortune 500 company to Minneapolis Christkindl Market, Taste of the NFL, MnFIRE and the Minnesota Zoo. In her role as Account Executive, she will split her time primarily between the Tourism, Events and Minnesota and Horticulture & Agriculture practice groups. She will also continue to be a resource to team members on media monitoring best practices.

We recently sat down with Hope to chat about what she’s looking forward to in her new role, agency life and advice she has for those starting their career in PR.

Q: First of all, congrats on your promotion! You have grown so much since you first started full time at Bellmont Partners in 2024 (and as an intern before that!) What are some things that have surprised you about agency life over the last couple of years?

A: Thank you so much! When I was in college, I often heard the advice “start your career at an agency,” and I’m glad I did. I’ve been consistently surprised (impressed might by the better word!) by the fast-moving pace of agency life. Every day brings new opportunities to learn while juggling multiple priorities to deliver efficient, high-quality work to our clients. The key to this is collaboration – one of five core values at Bellmont Partners – leaning on each other to share ideas, work through challenges and celebrate accomplishments together.

Q: What areas are you excited to grow in as an Account Executive?

A: I’m eager to grow in areas of social media and data/analytics. Since I was young, I’ve enjoyed managing social media presences – drafting copy, pulling images, designing graphics, community management… the whole thing! I’ve leaned into this organic social media work at Bellmont Partners, and in the Account Executive role, I’m excited to take further steps beyond organic and into paid social media. I contribute to Bellmont Partners as a leader of our Monitoring Core Users group, serving as a resource to team members on media monitoring and reporting best practices. We are constantly refining our processes with the goal of serving our clients with exactly the numbers they need, when they need them. Even though I’ve branded myself as a “words person,” the numbers are necessary, and I appreciate the blend! I look forward to continuing to support the agency’s data/analytics efforts.

Lastly, I’m thrilled to grow in client service! As an Account Executive, I’ll have more opportunities to work directly with clients, strengthen those relationships and help guide strategy. We have some of the BEST clients and equally phenomenal client contacts – it’ll be a pleasure to work even more closely with them.

Q: In your new role, you will primarily support two of our practice groups: Tourism, Events & Minnesota, and Horticulture & Agriculture. How do these two groups overlap, and how are they different?

A: It’s a treat to work in these two practice groups! Both are genuinely FUN, and many of our clients sit on the intersection of the two groups. One of my favorite examples is Midwest Dairy – home to the Princess Kay of the Milky Way program and the famous butter sculptures, the Dairy Goodness Bar (featuring a new Flavor of the Fair each year) and the All-You-Can-Drink Milk Stand at the Minnesota State Fair.

This client has legendary experiences at “The Great Minnesota Get-Together” (connection to Tourism, Events & Minnesota practice group), which Bellmont Partners has been a part of for the past two decades, and their ultimate purpose is representing more than 3,600 dairy farm families (connection to Horticulture & Agriculture practice group).

The two practice groups differ based on their defined niches, but it’s awesome to see how they connect, especially as a Minnesota girl who loves all the iconic destinations and traditions our state has to offer.

Q: What advice do you have for anyone just starting their career in PR?

Here are three of my best tips:

  • Be someone people like being around, and you will be in the room.
  • You have a valuable voice and unique seat at the table. Don’t shy away from sharing your ideas.
  • Bring your whole self to work – not just your “work self.” Your interests, hobbies and passions help you stand out and build meaningful connections in every stage of your career.

Thanks, Hope, and congrats again on your promotion to Account Executive!
