Your nonprofit’s big anniversary is on the horizon – how can you maximize the milestone so it shines the spotlight on your organization while building awareness and boosting your ability to fundraise?
Account Supervisor Briana Gruenewald and clients Megan Muske, chief development officer, Second Harvest Heartland; and Dana Nelson, principal and founder, DCN Strategies, shared their expertise on the subject yesterday by presenting at this year’s #ACTcon21, organized by Minnesota Council of Nonprofits.
Briana, Megan and Dana provided tips and ideas to get the most out of nonprofit milestone anniversaries, including a recent project they closely collaborated on: the one-year commemoration of Second Harvest Heartland’s Minnesota Central Kitchen earlier this year. The campaign used an integrated approach, including a donor match, relationship building, earned media, influencer engagement and digital marketing to raise more than $700,000 for this important resource. Minnesota Central Kitchen harnesses the power of the food bank to bring nutritious, prepared meals to communities facing the biggest meals gap.
