We’re excited to announce that Bellmont Partners team member Michelle Griffith has been promoted to Senior Director of Professional Services & Public Affairs. In this role, Michelle will continue to lead our Professional Services & Public Affairs practice group, consulting on client initiatives designed to convey organizations’ industry thought leadership, shape public opinion and catalyze change.
Senior Directors at Bellmont Partners also have a distinct internal focus. Michelle’s focus is on Brand & Marketing, where she’ll bring her big-picture lens to build upon our own brand positioning, marketing initiatives and thought leadership. We recently spoke with Michelle about her new focus area:
As you take on this new internal focus on brand and marketing, what are you most excited about – especially as the agency celebrates its milestone 30th anniversary?
Bellmont Partners has built such a rich legacy over the last 30 years. Every year we’re growing and evolving in ways that are so meaningful to our team and our clients, without compromising the original vision of what Brian Bellmont and others set out to build.
We tend to put our clients’ work first, but I’m excited for us to keep telling our own stories and helping people continue getting to know the incredible talent and expertise within our walls. There’s so much magic that’s made here every day.
How do you see a strong brand influencing both our internal culture and operations and our client experience?
As we know, a brand is so much bigger than a logo or name. It represents all of our feelings, perceptions and connections to company or offering – and that is built and experienced both inside and outside the organization. Our culture and our reputation go hand-in-hand, especially as a professional services organization whose offering is our people, our relationships and our expertise. We have so much strength to build on in all areas as we keep investing in our team, clients, media partners and community.
Your expertise in brand and marketing goes beyond Bellmont Partners’ own identity. How do you bring these skills to clients as well?
No matter how specific our scope is with clients, we can’t help but be invested in their broader brand and marketing goals, absorbing them as if they were our own. We want to understand what relationships they are ultimately trying to create with their audiences so that everything we do can meaningfully ladder up to that. It leads us to asking the “what if…” or “have you ever thought about…” questions that clients appreciate having us on the line for. You can hire for any technical skill under the sun, but having a partner who truly understands and adopts your vision – and even helps you strengthen it – is often what makes our partnerships so rich. Like every relationship, so much centers around strong communication – and this is exactly where we love spending our time and creativity.
Just for fun: If you were to introduce a mascot for the agency, what would it be?
Well, I have to say, I don’t think we could ever have one because at least a couple team members have a healthy fear of mascots, and I’m not ruling myself off that list.
But if we did, I think it would have to be some caricature version of Brian Bellmont. Over the years, our office has seen a life-size cutout of Brian, cookies made in his likeness, scam emails trying to impersonate him…it just feels like a natural progression to next become a mascot.

We will certainly keep that in mind if we ever do introduce an agency mascot! In the meantime, please join us in congratulating Michelle on her promotion to senior director. We are excited to have her brand and marketing expertise focused on both Bellmont Partners and our clients!
