With years of experience across a wide variety of communications disciplines, Stacey Robertson is a welcome addition to the Bellmont Partners team! As an account strategist, Stacey is already putting her significant journalism, brand, writing and client-service expertise to work for clients across the agency.
We sat down with Stacey to learn a bit more about her background and what drives her both professionally and personally.
You’ve been a TV reporter and producer, writer, marketing director and co-owner of a small brand agency. What is it about those jobs that resonates with you?
I have always enjoyed new challenges, especially in my career. I suppose that’s why I’m drawn to writing – one is constantly honing the craft. But there is something intriguing to me about pairing written words with compelling visuals. In television news, that’s very clearly done. In marketing, you can really be strategic, clever and even playful when leveraging that combination. It makes every workday a fun challenge.
What is it about Bellmont Partners that drew you to the agency?
I was first introduced to Bellmont Partners when I transitioned a client from my brand agency to the BP team. The sincerity and expertise of those touchpoints made a great impression. A few months later, I was looking for my next professional endeavor and reconnected with BP. It was very apparent that leadership is engaged, supportive and transparent, which is important to me. It’s no surprise that Bellmont Partners has been named one of the Best Places to Work in the Twin Cities four years in a row!
Your Clifton Strengths are Strategic, Communication, Achiever, Arranger and Woo. How do those aspects of your personality drive what you do professionally?
I love StrengthsFinder! Most of my top strengths are action-oriented, which very much describes me and how I work. My “Strategic” and “Arranger” qualities help me to be organized and efficient while plotting the best path forward on a project. With my “Communication” strength, I strive for clarity and understanding for all parties involved. As an “Achiever” I have a strong work ethic and enjoy the satisfaction of a job well done. And my “Woo” is my extrovert shining through. I’m very excited to add these strengths and my skillset to the team at Bellmont Partners.
Which aspects of PR and marketing do you want to learn even more about?
Diving into analytics is going to be a lot of fun. At many of my previous positions, it was a grassroots effort to monitor and analyze the effectiveness of a campaign. Here at Bellmont Partners, we have team members who are experts at this plus access to amazing tools to support the effort.
When you’re not working, we hear you love to hit the slopes. Can you tell us about how big a role skiing has played in your life?
I started skiing recreationally at 7 years old and joined my high school alpine ski team in 10th grade. Something clicked for me in the sport, and I became a competitive athlete. I continued racing in college at the University of Minnesota, where our women’s team qualified for the USCSA National Championship all four years. After graduation I ventured west to be a ski bum in Vail, Colorado, where I met my now husband – also an avid skier. We’ve since had two kids who are both named after ski hills, Vail and Brighton, and our beagle mix pup is named after American Olympic Gold Medalist Mikaela Shiffrin. We call her Mikaela SNIFFrin. As they say, “it’s not just a sport – it’s a lifestyle!”
