Recapping Manufacturing Month: Highlights from Across Minnesota

Octo­ber was a big month for Minnesota’s man­u­fac­tur­ing com­mu­ni­ty, and our Bell­mont Part­ners team was proud to be a part of the action. From fac­to­ry tours to indus­try sum­mits, our Man­u­fac­tur­ing Prac­tice Group hit the road to con­nect, learn and cel­e­brate the peo­ple and inno­va­tions dri­ving this vital sec­tor forward.

Minnesota Manufacturing Month HighlightsWe kicked things off with our pro bono sup­port for the Cen­tral Min­neso­ta Man­u­fac­tur­ers Asso­ci­a­tion, cul­mi­nat­ing in its annu­al Tour of Man­u­fac­tur­ing, where com­mu­ni­ty mem­bers, job seek­ers and stu­dents got a behind-the-scenes look at local facil­i­ties. From play­ground equip­ment man­u­fac­tured at Land­scape Struc­tures to food and dairy indus­try equip­ment at RELCO, our team enjoyed get­ting an up-close look at how unique items are made. The tour earned cov­er­age in the St. Cloud Times and WJON-AM, spot­light­ing the region’s man­u­fac­tur­ing strength and the career oppor­tu­ni­ties it offers.

Next up: the Min­neso­ta Man­u­fac­tur­ers’ Sum­mit, where indus­try lead­ers gath­ered to dis­cuss trends, chal­lenges and the future of man­u­fac­tur­ing in our state. It was ener­giz­ing to hear direct­ly from the peo­ple shap­ing the industry’s next chapter.

From there, we head­ed to MD&M Mid­west along with mem­bers from our Health team to dive into the world of medtech and advanced man­u­fac­tur­ing. A high­light? Ryan Frederick’s pre­sen­ta­tion on the macro impacts of AI, automa­tion and robot­ics – thought-pro­vok­ing and time­ly as these tech­nolo­gies con­tin­ue to reshape the land­scape. It was also great to con­nect with indus­try media who were attend­ing the event as well as sev­er­al clients and friends who were shar­ing their lat­est inno­va­tions with attendees.

Minnesota Manufacturing Week Highlights

We wrapped up the month by sup­port­ing the Arrow­head Man­u­fac­tur­ers & Fab­ri­ca­tors Asso­ci­a­tion’s Tour of Man­u­fac­tur­ing, where stu­dents and com­mu­ni­ty mem­bers got the oppor­tu­ni­ty to vis­it local man­u­fac­tur­ing and fab­ri­ca­tion facil­i­ties in the Arrow­head region. One stand­out stop was ME Elecmet­al, fea­tured in a great seg­ment by WDIO/ABC Duluth that cap­tured stu­dent reac­tions and insights from the plant manager.

Man­u­fac­tur­ing Month remind­ed us why we love work­ing with clients in this space: it’s inno­v­a­tive, essen­tial and full of pas­sion­ate peo­ple. Let’s keep the momen­tum going – see you at the next event!
