Bellmont Partners Announces Two New Partners: Maureen Cahill Joins Agency Full Time, Bridget Nelson Monroe Promoted

As Bellmont Partners continues its record growth, our public relations agency is thrilled to announce two major moves that will mean big things for our clients, agency and community.

After working closely with Bellmont Partners as a strategic partner since June 2020, longtime public relations counselor Maureen Cahill is joining the agency full-time as a partner. At the same time, Bridget Nelson Monroe, who has been with the agency since 2011 and vice president since 2015, has been promoted to partner.

Our 16-person full-service public relations agency is celebrating its 25th year serving local and national growth-oriented organizations, and Maureen and Bridget’s elevation to partners further strengthens our commitment to providing our clients with the deep expertise of senior-level counsel across multiple communications disciplines.

MAUREEN CAHILL

One of the top public relations practitioners in the Twin Cities, Maureen is a trusted resource for media relations, crisis communications, events and strategic planning. She’s been collaborating with Bellmont Partners since 2008 and spent the past year as a contractor working alongside our team on numerous client projects. In her new role as a partner, Maureen will spend more time leading and supporting client engagements, as well as contributing to business development and agency management.

“We’ve been looking for an opportunity to cement our longtime relationship for years, and we’re excited that the stars have aligned,” says Bellmont Partners COO Jen Bellmont. “The time couldn’t be more right to bring Maureen into the agency full-time as a partner. Her deep PR experience and top-notch local and national media relations expertise significantly strengthens the value we’re providing to our clients.”

“Bellmont Partners is an innovative, respected and nimble agency that I have continued to watch grow and thrive over the years,” says Cahill. “Brian, Jen and Shelli have not only created one of the top agencies in the Twin Cities, but have continually been honored as a best place to work by Inc. Magazine and Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal. I am honored to be part of it and thrilled to work with rest of the team on a wide array of clients.”

Maureen’s 30-year career spans journalism, corporate communications, agency leadership and the nonprofit sector. She spent five years as assignment manager at Twin Cities ABC affiliate KSTP-TV, nearly seven years as Director of PR at Mall of America while also working as a freelance producer for NBC Nightly News and the Today Show, and a decade as co-founder of PR agency McFarland Cahill. Most recently, Maureen was executive director at Smile Network International for eight years, where she oversaw international partnerships, mission logistics, day-to-day operations and led PR, marketing and fundraising initiatives for the Twin Cities-based healthcare nonprofit.

BRIDGET NELSON MONROE

Over the past 10 years, Bridget has played an integral part in shaping Bellmont Partners’ client service, operations and culture, and her new role will help guide the agency into the next decade and beyond. She has been a driving force behind multiple initiatives that have supported the agency’s growth, such as establishing day-to-day processes and technologies, leading marketing efforts, overseeing professional development, and forming industry practice groups, in addition to leading numerous client teams in the fields of health, professional services and more. Bridget is also the leader of the agency’s thriving nonprofit practice group, combining her communications expertise and passion for mission-based organizations to impact dozens of Minnesota-based nonprofit clients – and the people they serve.

Bridget’s career began in journalism, including positions at Reader’s Digest and Better Homes and Gardens, and expanded into digital marketing and public relations.

“Since she joined our team as the very first employee, Bridget has been integral to Bellmont Partners’ success as we’ve evolved into one of the most dynamic, culture-based and community-focused PR agencies in Minnesota,” says President Brian Bellmont. “Her new role will provide more opportunities to impact the agency and our community as we continue to deliver smart, people-focused and measurable results for our clients.”

“It’s been an incredible 10 years as Bellmont Partners has grown into the agency it is today,” says Monroe. “We’re at an exciting point now as we continue to grow and deepen our expertise even further with Maureen on the team, and I’m looking forward to helping shape this next phase for the agency, our clients and the community we serve.”

Congratulations, Maureen and Bridget – we’re thrilled you’re part of the team!
