Q&A with Bellmont Partners New Senior Account Executive, Amy Moon

For the past couple of weeks, we have had fun getting to know a new member of our team, Amy Moon! Amy’s strong background in marketing from her previous roles is a tremendous asset to the clients she now serves at Bellmont Partners. Plus, her positive energy and enthusiastic spirit make her a great team member.

Her knowledge and experience in the medical device field allowed her to jump right into client work for our Health and Medical Practice Group. We sat down with Amy to learn more about her, her background and things that excite her most about life. We hope you enjoy getting to know Amy, too.

You have an interesting background in communications and marketing. What do you like about the field of communications?

I was first drawn to the communications field because I love people; I love getting to know a person’s story and how they’ve gotten to where they are today. I also love that this field requires listening to others, understanding the whole picture, and having a strategic mindset when it comes to collaborating and helping others reach success.

You’re joining the Bellmont Partners Health and Medical Practice Group. What is appealing to you about working with clients in the health space?

I have had a long-held interest in the medical field because I loved the idea of caring for people and helping them in a time of great need. Through a series of events, I decided to major in communications in college but intentionally minor in health and wellness, hoping to use my communication skills within the healthcare industry. I am really looking forward to working with clients where my skillset in communications and my passions for healthcare intersect.

What have you liked so far or are you excited about when it comes to working in an agency atmosphere?

I have loved the size of our agency. Most of my life I have been part of medium- or large-sized organizations, whether at school, church or work, so being part of a team where I have gotten to meet every person and have a personal connection with them has been fun.

I am also excited about the pace at which an agency moves. Getting to work with several different clients, there is always something to do and always something to help with. I love how collaborative the culture is at Bellmont Partners and how team-oriented everyone is.

We know you love to travel and that you studied abroad in Italy! What did you learn during your time there from a communications standpoint?

I do love to travel, and my time studying in Italy was instrumental to how I see the world today. The No. 1 thing I took away from a communications standpoint was that “my way” is not necessarily the “right way.” I gained deep respect for another culture and the way they do things. This mindset has helped broaden my perspective of the world and opened my eyes to the benefits of being receptive to how other people view things.

How do you like to spend your free time?

My favorite thing to do in my free time is spend time with my husband, Tyler, and our dog, Minnie. Anytime we have a free Saturday morning, we enjoy finding a new trail to walk and a new coffee shop to try. (It’s hard to run out of options living in the Twin Cities!) I also enjoy exercising – swimming, running, yoga to name a few – and my husband and I love spending time attending and volunteering at our church.
