Q&A with Bellmont Partners’ New Content Marketing Strategist, Maddie Michaud

One of our newest additions to the Bellmont Partners team, Maddie Michaud joined us right before the holidays and has been hitting the ground running getting integrated on several of our technology & manufacturing practice clients, as well as several internal committees like our DE&I committee and our agency marketing team.

We sat down with Maddie to learn more about her background and interests, and see how she’s settling in after her first few weeks at Bellmont. We hope you enjoy getting to know Maddie, too!

You have a broad background in marketing, communications and content development. What do you like about the field of communications?

I’ve always been a storyteller and I love being able to do that for businesses and using communication to help them showcase their brand and connect with their customers. It’s an immense field so there’s always something to learn and ways to improve, which is hugely energizing to me.

Most of all, marketing (when done right) is an act of service to both the client and their customers. I love being able to be a part of making people’s lives easier and their dreams come true. It’s an enormous responsibility to be trusted to help grow a brand and I’m honored to be a part of the process.

You’re joining the Bellmont Partners Technology & Manufacturing practice group. What is appealing to you about working with clients in the tech and manufacturing space?

Manufacturers and tech experts always teach me something new and it feels like getting to have a sneak peek at the future and the complex problems that they solve are always fascinating to learn about. Plus, I get to do a bit of “translation” work to make highly technical expertise appealing to broader audiences, which is always fun. I have a background in growing brands that have multiple, vastly different audience types, and I really enjoy the unique challenge that presents.

What is it about Bellmont Partners that drew you to the agency?

The people! I wanted to work with a bunch of communication nerds who would be happy to talk with me for hours on end about the latest ad drama, or the merits of the Oxford comma. But it isn’t just the level of expertise that drew me to Bellmont, it’s the heart behind it. Everyone here truly wants to go above and beyond for every client, on every project, and that’s the kind of team I’ve always dreamed of joining.

Which aspects of public relations and agency life are you excited to learn more about?

I’m really excited to learn more about PR, pitching media, and industries I haven’t worked with before. My background is really in digital marketing so media is a new channel that I can’t wait to sink my teeth into.

How do you like to spend your free time outside of work?

I’m always with my dogs, usually with one of them on my lap. When I’m not working, I’m reading or writing sci-fi, adding to my unhinged plant collection, or taking on a new painting project. I also volunteer my marketing skills to help grow small businesses and non-profits that can’t afford traditional marketing services.
