We’re excited to share that Kalli Plump, a Bellmont Partners senior account executive, has been named a Rising Young Professional by Finance & Commerce. The award recognizes those who have demonstrated leadership, contributed to their community and successfully achieved positive outcomes early in their career – all attributes that perfectly describe Kalli.
Kalli plays a significant role on several client teams. One notable example of her leadership is her work with client Minnesota Firefighter Initiative (MnFIRE). Combining her passions for public health and public affairs, Kalli has led Bellmont Partners’ efforts to support MnFIRE for three years, most notably over the past 18 months, as she coordinated a massive, targeted op-ed campaign and media and social media initiative. In July 2021, MnFIRE’s effort resulted in the most comprehensive firefighter-well-being legislation in the nation. This legislation includes $4 million a year to provide Minnesota’s 20,000 firefighters with critical health resources. To date, the Hometown Heroes Assistance Program has supported hundreds of peer support calls and visits with mental health providers, trained the majority of the state’s firefighters on their occupational health risks, and has paid out nearly $1 million in critical illness claims.
Kalli’s leadership extends beyond her day job as well. When she moved back to the Twin Cities in 2019 after several years in Kentucky, Kalli quickly joined the Minnesota Public Health Association and got involved with its communications committee. She also volunteers extensively through her church – serving in the nursery and helping with a recently resettled refugee family of 9 from Afghanistan.
We’re honored to have Kalli as a member of the Bellmont Partners team and are proud to see her accomplishments recognized by Finance & Commerce. Congratulations to Kalli and all the other honorees!
