People Incorporated, one of Minnesota’s largest nonprofits and the Twin Cities’ largest provider of community-based mental and behavioral health services, turned to Bellmont Partners to coordinate media around its landmark 50th Anniversary Event.
Our team collaborated with the CEO, executive team and marketing department on communications strategy and messaging, then consulted on and executed multiple 50th anniversary event elements. We created and launched a proactive media relations campaign, including pre-event, onsite coordination and post-event earned media, as well as collateral, influencer outreach and integration of social media.
In the months leading up to the event, we leveraged the upcoming milestone celebration to build awareness of People Incorporated. From earned media about programming to thought leadership about mental health needs and more, we built a steady cadence of content about the organization and its goals, weaving in messaging about both its 50-year legacy and how it was looking ahead with new, innovative approaches.
In addition to securing hundreds of pieces of media coverage for the organization, media also began proactively reaching out to People Incorporated more frequently to request spokespeople for mental health-related stories, which was a goal from the outset of our partnership.
