Minnesota Grown, a statewide partnership between the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and producers of Minnesota agricultural products, has been fostering relationships and creating resources to connect consumers with local produce and goods for more than 40 years. Since 2019, Bellmont Partners has been a trusted communications partner, developing strategic, integrated campaigns to spread the word about Minnesota Grown specialty crops and where consumers can find them.
Strategic Communications
To lay the groundwork for our integrated campaign, we developed a plan and key messages to hone in on the best approach for reaching campaign goals. We also conducted media training and provide on-going media coaching.
Media Relations
Our media relations program earned coverage for a wide variety of Minnesota Grown products – from apples to pumpkins and Christmas trees to maple syrup – on all four major Twin Cities TV stations, in addition to the Star Tribune, The Washington Post and more.
Statewide Media Coverage
With Minnesota Grown members and consumers located across the state, we’ve prioritized ensuring stories of members from a diverse range of geographic locations have been featured in coverage, and we’ve also worked to earn coverage in several greater Minnesota markets, including Rochester, St. Cloud and more.
Influencer Relations
In addition to earned media, we’ve partnered with several social media influencers and content creators to share Minnesota Grown’s story and messaging with new audiences. From agritourism experiences to recipe development, we partner with folks to show consumers how they can enjoy Minnesota Grown – and WHY they should choose Minnesota Grown.
