When it comes to people who know how to bring out the best in others, co-owner and COO Jen Bellmont is near the top of the list. Over the past 19 years, Jen has been the driving force behind multiple initiatives designed to build Bellmont Partners into one of Minnesota’s top public relations agencies. She has cultivated a positive, empowering and award-winning culture that allows our team to deliver the best possible work and results for clients, all while giving back to our communities.
In 2019, her efforts enabled the agency to have its best year yet by all measures – revenue and profitability, but also agency culture, industry accolades and community contributions – showing that doing well and doing good can go hand in hand. This has proven to be even more important in uncertain times in the past few months, and Jen’s strong, empathetic, people-focused leadership has positioned our team and company to weather this storm together and come out even stronger.
That’s why we’re thrilled to share that Jen Bellmont has been named one of Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal’s 2020 Women in Business. MSPBJ names this list to “honor industry-leading executives, entrepreneurs and business owners for their professional accomplishments and community involvement.” There’s no doubt that Jen’s passion for helping others has earned her a place on this list.
Jen helped create our Bellmont Gives Back program, which provides employees with the time and resources necessary to support community organizations and causes important to them, both individually and as part of the agency’s pro bono work, with 2019 team efforts totaling 665 service hours. She has been the person propelling Bellmont Partners’ unique, forward-thinking benefits including a flexible work-from-home policy, annual stipends for personal health and wellness activities and home office technology, and many others – continually working to provide the team with everything it needs to do phenomenal work and to feel fulfilled doing it. Her mentorship has included refining the leadership team’s individual roles, elevating the next tier of leaders to director-level positions, and personally mentoring an employee through a full-time master’s degree program. All while being an incredible mom and member of her own community.
While it’s no surprise to our team members – and clients, partners and community organizations – who work with her daily, we’re grateful to MSPBJ for cementing what we already knew to be true. Congratulations, Jen! We’re thankful for all you do!
