‘Tis the season for giving, and at Bellmont Partners, we’re all about it. Today is Minnesota’s giving holiday – Give to the Max Day – and our nonprofit practice group has been busy helping clients prepare for the big day. From strategizing with 2017’s top-of-the-leaderboard Second Harvest Heartland for the “Pack to the Max” event, in which volunteers are packing food donations all 24 hours today, to assisting MnFIRE in preparing materials to participate in Give to the Max for the first time and many more organizations in between, we’re excited to help our nonprofit clients seize the opportunity to raise awareness of their work along with raising funds for their causes.
We even got a jump on giving back this month by sponsoring the inaugural Tech Impact Day in Minneapolis on November 9. The day featured demos by companies who work in the nonprofit field – including Bellmont Partners – and in-depth working sessions that paired companies with nonprofits to strategize and implement tech-related initiatives. Volunteers from our team were paired with Great River Greening and Women Against Military Madness to consult on social media projects. It was a high-impact day, and we were inspired by the turnout of professionals from the for-profit and nonprofit sectors to collaborate on issues that will help organizations move their missions forward.
At Bellmont Partners, we’re deeply invested in our communities and are passionate about how we can put our communications expertise to work for a wide variety of causes and initiatives. In addition to our ongoing work with nonprofit clients and our participation in events such as Tech Impact Day, we also have a yearlong program called Bellmont Gives Back. Through this program, each employee can devote a set amount of hours per month to volunteer their talents to organizations that are important to them as individuals. As we heard at Tech Impact Day, this type of “skilled volunteering” is a growing, sought after type of giving back that can truly help nonprofits realize their missions.
As Minnesota celebrates Give to the Max Day, we encourage you to consider a donation to your favorite organizations and to learn about and support nonprofits that may be new to you. To give you a few ideas, here’s a sampling of the nonprofits we’ve worked with or volunteered with in the past that are participating in Give to the Max Day:
